Matchday Information: Slough Town v Hornchurch
Enterprise National League South
Saturday 20 September 2025 – Arbour Park
Kick-off: 3.00pm | Turnstiles open: 1.30pm

Slough Town return to league action this Saturday at Arbour Park, where they face one of their toughest tests of the season to date with the visit of unbeaten league leaders Hornchurch.

The Rebels come into the fixture on the back of progression in the Emirates FA Cup, having edged past Welling United in a hard-fought replay on Tuesday evening. Wiktor Makowski’s late strike sealed a 1-0 win, and with it a place in the Third Round Qualifying. That result followed a battling 1-1 draw in the original tie at Park View Road.

In the league, Slough currently sit 16th with nine points from their opening fixtures. Their home form has been encouraging, highlighted by the memorable victory over Ebbsfleet United – who had arrived at Arbour Park unbeaten and without conceding – as well as Tuesday’s cup success. Maintaining that resilience will be crucial against a Hornchurch side setting the early pace.

The visitors travel with confidence, having yet to taste defeat this campaign. They have combined defensive strength with attacking fluency to establish themselves at the summit of the National League South, and will arrive at Arbour Park intent on extending that run.

While the two sides met twice last season with Slough victorious on both occasions, this weekend presents a fresh challenge against a Hornchurch squad that has been strengthened and remains unbeaten. For Slough, it represents both a stern test and a chance to measure themselves against the division’s in-form side.
