Slough Town Football Club are delighted to confirm the launch of the first of our five newly funded community projects, with the relaunch of our FA Comets training sessions beginning on Monday 23 February.

FA Comets is a recreational, pan-disability football programme that gives children with any disability the opportunity to enjoy football in a safe, welcoming and supportive environment.

The sessions are open to disabled boys and girls aged 5–11. Pan-disability football is the most inclusive format of the game, bringing together players with a wide range of impairments and health conditions to play alongside each other.

Comets offers a flexible and inclusive way of playing that focuses on enjoyment rather than competition. The emphasis is on playfulness, building friendships and having fun — breaking down traditional barriers and encouraging every participant to take part in their own way.

Above all, FA Comets is football with one simple message: Just be you.

The programme forms part of the club’s expanding community provision and continues Slough Town’s commitment to making football accessible to everyone.
