Slough Town Football Club are delighted to announce that Ryan Case has begun a new role at the club as Head of Academy.

Since arriving at the club in 2024, initially as Elite Development Squad Coach, Ryan has worked tirelessly within the professional phase to enhance all aspects of the programme. Through the continued support of A23 Football Group, the club has ensured that the academy remains at the very core of its long-term vision, with significant success in player development and progression.

In his new role, Ryan will oversee the academy programme across all age groups from U7 through to U19, ensuring the delivery model is consistently applied while also supporting academy coaches through continued professional development (CPD).

The club’s academy continues to grow across both the male and female pathways, making this an incredibly exciting period for Slough Town FC as it strengthens its player development structure.

Ryan had the following to say:

"I’m honoured to take on this role at such a pivotal moment. It presents a valuable opportunity to help shape our direction as a club and as an academy, to pioneer the changes needed to take us to the next level of player development and success, while strengthening and enhancing our pathway throughout.

"We have some exceptional people at the club, and I’m looking forward to working with them to evolve and build on the strong foundations already in place."

Ashley Smith, CEO of Slough Town FC, commented:

“Ryan has demonstrated a willingness to enhance the academy on a daily basis, which quickly led to him having a wider impact than just the Elite Development Squad.

"This season has seen him step up into Scott’s management team, which has certainly supported communication and transition between the academy and the men’s first team.

"Ryan’s application and desire for the club to be the best at everything we do makes him the right person to steer the academy into its next phase of growth.

"We have had outstanding success since taking the club over, with current academy players and graduates playing first-team football this season and accumulating over 10,000 minutes of senior appearances. That is an accolade the club is truly proud of.”

Slough Town FC looks forward to the continued growth of the academy under Ryan’s leadership as the club strengthens its pathway from grassroots to first-team football.
