Slough Town Football Club can confirm that First Team Physiotherapist Chiko Mvula will depart his role at the end of the 2025/26 season.

Chiko joined the club ahead of the 2022/23 campaign, stepping up to the first-team environment after building an excellent reputation through his work with Academy23. Across his time at Arbour Park, he has played a key role in leading the club’s medical department, supporting players across both the U23s and senior squad.

Due to increasing full-time work commitments and the continued growth of his clinic, Chiko will no longer have the capacity to combine those responsibilities with the demands of leading the club’s medical provision.

After six memorable years of service, he leaves Slough Town with the gratitude and appreciation of everyone connected with the club.

Chiko said:

“After six memorable years, it’s time to move on. Thank you for your support and for trusting me to lead Physio for the U23s and step up to the first team. Slough Town FC is a special club, driven by incredible fans and outstanding staff. I look forward to returning to Arbour Park soon to support the team as a Rebel.”

Chief Executive Officer Ashley Smith added:

“I’m genuinely disappointed that the time has come for Chiko to move on. Having been with A23 since 2020, he’s also been part of the Slough journey for the best part of six years, and his impact across that time has been immense.

Chiko is quite simply a brilliant person. We’ve just been lucky that he also happens to be outstanding at what he does. His presence will be missed more than words can properly capture.

He leaves behind big shoes to fill. I know how much the club means to him, and I sincerely hope this isn’t goodbye for good. He’ll always be welcome back.

Once a Rebel, always a Rebel.”

First Team Manager Scott Davies said:

“It’s extremely sad to be losing Chiko at the end of the season. Chiko is not only a top physio but more importantly he’s a great person who has given his absolute all to the football club over the past few years.

Like players, Chiko will no doubt aspire to work higher up the football pyramid one day and I’m sure that this will happen as we are all very aware how good he is at his job.

He’s been brilliant for me and the team, and we wish him all the best in his future endeavours.

Thanks, from us all!

Everyone at Slough Town FC would like to place on record our sincere thanks to Chiko for his outstanding contribution over the past six years and wish him every success for the future.
