Accessibility statement

How accessible this website is, what we know isn't right yet, and how to tell us about a problem.

Last updated 18 October 2026

Our aim

We want everyone to be able to follow the Rebels, whatever device or assistive technology they use. This site aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

What you can do on this site

  • Use it with a keyboard alone: every link and control can be reached with Tab and used with Enter or Space, and Escape closes the menu.
  • Jump past the menu with the "Skip to content" link, the first thing you reach with Tab.
  • Zoom to 400% or use a phone at its smallest width without losing content.
  • Pause anything that moves on its own: the homepage news slideshow, the kit film and the closing video of the intro all have pause buttons. The partner logos stay still.
  • Turn on "reduce motion" in your device settings: the slideshow and films stop playing by themselves and animations are switched off.
  • Use a screen reader: images have text descriptions, buttons are labelled and pages use headings and landmarks.

How we tested it

We checked the homepage, news and match report pages on phone and desktop on 18 October 2026, using automated testing (axe-core, set to WCAG 2.2 AA), keyboard-only use, colour contrast checks and reduced-motion settings.

Known limitations

  • Video captions. Rebels TV highlights and interviews come from the club's YouTube channel. Some don't have proper captions yet, so YouTube's automatic captions may be the only option. We're working on adding captions to new videos.
  • Services run by others. Ticketing (Fanbase), the club shop (SumUp), the YouTube player and the ECAL calendar window are run by other companies, and we can't fully control how accessible they are.
  • The scrolling intro. The homepage opens with a scroll-driven film. Sound effects only play after you tap to enter, and the film carries no information you can't find elsewhere on the page, and "Skip intro" takes you past it.
  • Older pages. Some links still lead to pages and documents on the club's previous website, which haven't been checked to the same standard.

Tell us about a problem

If something on this site doesn't work for you, or you need information in a different format, please tell us through the club's contact page or write to Slough Town FC, Arbour Park, Stoke Road, Slough SL2 5AY. Tell us the page and what went wrong, and we'll get back to you.

If you're not happy with our response, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) (opens in a new tab).
