General Manager John Porter caught up with a delighted Jon Underwood after the Rebels ground out a 1-0 win at Hereford on Saturday.
Lee Togwell scored the only goal of a scrappy game in first half stoppage time and the hosts were unable to create a clear chance as the Rebels' robust defence stood firm in front of a crowd of 2,644.
Both sides finished with ten men, as first Mike Symons was shown a straight red card and later Matt Lench picked up two yellow cards.
