After a good start to the season and competition for places so fierce in the Rebels starting eleven, it has today been confirmed that two players have left Slough Town.

Defender Steve Jackman leaves to join Arlesey Town. Jackman was widely expected to be a fixture in the Rebels side when he was signed in pre-season.

The former Bedford Town and Barton Rovers defender captained the side in the Hillingdon tournament, but the unexpected signing of Nathan Bowden-Haase saw the defender left on the sidelines for much of the early part of the season, only making the bench once in the FA Cup tie against Tring Athletic.

Another player leaving the Rebels is forward Phil Turner. Turner played a number of pre-season games for the Rebels, but has not made the first-team squad this season. Turner returns to the club he joined us from originally – Chesham United.

The club wish Steve and Phil all the best at their new clubs, apart of course from when they face the Rebels!

In other news, it has been announced that the away match against Chesham United scheduled for next Saturday has now been moved to Tuesday 10th November, with a 7.45pm kick-off after the Rebels and Generals both won their respective FA Cup replays this week.
