Following a seven-day approach from Zamaretto Midlands Division One rivals Burnham, striker Craig O’Connor has left the club, with Roy Gumbs also leaving the Rebels.

O’Connor joined the club from Beaconsfield in the summer, having played under current Burnham manager Jamie Jarvis at SYCOB. The striker made an immediate impact at the club with his no-nonsense style.

The former Maidenhead and Windsor striker made thirteen appearances for the Rebels, scoring three times.

Crowd favourite Roy Gumbs has also left the Rebels. ‘Gumbsy’ has left the club as he looks to find first-team football before hanging up his boots at the end of the season.

The striker signed for the club two seasons ago, and played a massive part in the Rebels' ultimately unsuccessful fight against relegation in 2008 with inspired performances against Godalming & Guildford and Newport IOW.

The Anguilla international, who won both of his caps against El Salvador whilst a Slough player, made 28 appearances for the Rebels - mainly as a substitute - scoring twice. Roy will be very much missed in and around the changing rooms by players and supporters alike.
