With several key players missing through injury Slough Town manager Steve Bateman has swooped during yesterdays transfer deadline to complete the signing of Hemel Hempstead midfielder Adam Martin on loan for the rest of the season.

Martin is a 20 year-old hard working central midfielder who previously has played under Steve Bateman at Berkhamstead Town, as well as Hemel. The midfielder goes straight into the squad for Saturday’s match against Beaconsfield.

The midfielder is not the only Rebels player to join the Rebels first team squad this week with yesterdays transfer deadline passing.

Centre back Chris Wild has, as per last season, signed on dual registration whilst at Billericay Town. In addition midfielder Shaun Byrne and goalkeeper Adam Gibb have signed forms as backup. Some may remember Byrne featured at the backend of the 08/09 season playing 3 times whilst scoring on his debut away at Bishops Cleeve.

Several players from the clubs successful youth side have also signed Southern League forms. These include forward Tony Mendy and midfielders Billy Canavan and Kyle Lucas who join Mo Sharif in gaining promotion to the first team.
