Slough hope to continue their recent form with the first of three tricky games over the Christmas/New Year period, starting with Marlow on Saturday.
Slough Town look to continue their good recent run of form in Saturdays home game with Marlow.
Under the caretaker management of Mark Betts and Richard Barnard, the Rebels have picked up 7 points from 4 games to give them a bit of breathing space at the bottom. Things are looking more encouraging, but Slough can take nothing for granted with three big games looming over the Christmas and New Year period, including the local derby with Windsor & Eton.
Slough Town gained their first away victory in 11 months last Saturday with a 1-0 victory at Taunton. Recent form has lifted the Rebels into the middle of the form table.
Visitors Marlow, meanwhile, are also in good form, and enjoyed a 3-1 home win over Gosport Borough last Saturday. Recent results also include a 5-3 win over Windsor & Eton, which saw the Buckinghamshire side recover superbly from a 0-3 half-time deficit. They currently sit in 10th place.
Slough held a positive training session on Thursday evening, with a number of players eyeing up a return to action following injury, including Mark Janes, Lee Charles and Danny Jeffreys. Lee Rendell is available after serving a suspension, and youth player Kyle Jeffrey is in contention after returning from county duty. Dean Harper misses out, however, as he is still suspended.
** The Slough Town Supporters Trust are running a coach to the home game against Thatcham on New Years Day. For more details, see the Marlow programme and this website.
