Bateman adds Logie to squad

With just three days remaining before Saturday's opening league fixture at home to Barton Rovers, manager Steve Bateman has strengthened his squad by signing Adam Logie from Wealdstone.

The signing of the Stones' man continues Steve Bateman's idea of getting more locally based players to play for the club this season.

Logie started his career at Brentford before joining Burnham where he played a key role in helping the club reach the FA Cup first round against Aldershot, who he has also played for.

Capable of playing in central midfield, central defence or at right back, Logie has also captained Hayes & Yeading United in the Conference South. More recently though, the new Rebels signing has captained Ashford Town (Middx) where he spent three seasons, making 120 appearances, where he scored 14 goals.

Many will of course not only recognise Adam due to his local connections with Burnham, but also due to the fact that he played against the Rebels just last Saturday for Wealdstone as the Rebels won the Brian Collins Memorial Trophy in this pre-season match.
