Easterbrook on Arlesey abandonment
Note from Rebels chairman following the confusion at Arlesey.
Following Saturday's abandoned game and unfortunate chain of events I would like to apologise for the confusion which both clubs found themselves in.
Of course things could have been handled better, but at the time numerous club officials were frantically trying to establish the correct procedure. Unfortunately contradictory announcements were being made that did not help.
Vouchers have been issued to those who attended the game and these can be used for the rearranged fixture. If however you are unable to attend the rearranged fixture please return the voucher to Chris Sliski as a refund policy is in place and the club will offer a refund.
It is sometimes easy to blame the home club however, I would like to emphasise that in the confusion everyone was trying to resolve many issues and I can confirm that Arlesey Town Football Club were desperately doing everything within their power to resolve the situation.
