James Warrington picked up three awards at Slough Town’s end of season presentation held at Farnham Park on Friday evening.

The goalkeeper, who joined the Rebels in August 2011, was rewarded for an outstanding season, winning the Supporters’ player of the Season, sharing the Players’ player of the Season award with Dave Woozley, and a Special Merit award for keeping a club record number of clean sheets in a season.

Alex Brown scooped the Manager’s Player of the Season award after a superb season in which he played 32 times in a Slough defence which was watertight at times, and formed the basis of another successful season.

Dan Burnell’s 24 goals ensured he won the club’s Golden Boot award for the second successive season, the striker now having scored 52 times in his 90 appearances for the Rebels.

Steve Bateman was also presented with the Southern League Division One Central runners-up trophy, and the players in attendance received runners-up medals from the Southern League.

In the Youth section, James Hawtree and Joe Blount, both of whom featured in the first team’s final league match of the season, were the joint winners of the U18 Player of the Season award.
