FA competition draws announced

The draws for the early rounds of the FA Cup and FA Trophy were announced on Friday, giving Slough four potential home games.

Slough will begin their FA Cup campaign with a Preliminary Round home tie against either Corinthian of the Kent League Premier Division (Step 5) or Croydon of the Combined Counties Premier League (Step 5) on Saturday 25 August, who play their Extra Preliminary Round game two weeks beforehand.

In the First Round Proper, the victors will be at home against one of Deal Town (Kent League Premier Division), Ashford United (Kent Invicta League, Step 6), Lingfield (Sussex County League Division One, Step 5) or AFC Uckfield (Sussex County League Division One, Step 5).

In the FA Trophy, Slough will play Hungerford Town of the Southern League Division One South & West (Step 4) in the Preliminary Round on Sunday 16 September due to a fixture clash at Holloways Park. The winners will host Gosport Borough, of the Southern League Premier Division (Step 3) in the First Qualifying Round on 29 September, allowing Slough the potential for revenge against "The Boro" for last season's 3-0 defeat at Privett Park in the same competition.

The FA Youth Cup draw sees Slough at home again, hosting the winners of Maidenhead United and Fleet Spurs in the First Qualifying Round.

Meanwhile, the fixture lists for the forthcoming Southern League campaign are expected to be released on Wednesday 18 July.
