Slough Town are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Latrell Humphrey-Ewers ahead of the 2026/27 season.

The 23-year-old joins the Rebels from National League North Oxford City and arrives with significant experience at National League and Step 2 level.

Humphrey-Ewers came through the academy ranks at Oxford City and played a key role in the club's rise to the National League before returning to the Hoops ahead of the 2025/26 season following a spell with Bath City.

Prior to linking up with Oxford City, the midfielder spent time in Reading’s academy, progressing through the ranks and representing England at Under-16 level alongside future Premier League players Harvey Elliott and James Trafford.

Following his release from Reading, Humphrey-Ewers joined Oxford City's Velocity Football programme and quickly impressed, earning his first-team debut during the 2022/23 season.

After a short spell with North Leigh, he became an important figure in Oxford City's memorable promotion campaign. He scored his first senior goal away to Dover Athletic and provided the assist for the fourth goal in the National League South Promotion Final victory over St Albans City.

His performances earned him a professional contract and the club's Young Player of the Season award in 2023, an accolade he retained the following year after an impressive debut season in the National League.

Humphrey-Ewers made 25 National League appearances during the 2023/24 campaign and became renowned for his energy and composure in midfield, notably scoring a dramatic late equaliser away at Eastleigh.

In total, he made 45 appearances and scored four goals during his first spell with Oxford City before joining Bath City in the summer of 2024.

Despite showing promise at Twerton Park, managerial changes saw the midfielder spend the latter part of the season on loan at Taunton Town in search of regular football.

He returned to Oxford City ahead of the 2025/26 National League North season, rejoining the club under Ross Jenkins and adding further experience to his growing list of appearances.

A technically gifted central midfielder with excellent energy and intelligence on the ball, Humphrey-Ewers now makes the move to Arbour Park as Alan Julian continues to strengthen his squad for the new campaign.

Everyone at Slough Town would like to welcome Latrell to the club.
