Slough Town Football Club can confirm that Alex Wines will be departing his roles at the club to take up a full-time position within Education.

Alex has served as First Team Goalkeeper Coach while also leading the club’s BTEC Sport provision at academic partner Cox Green School. In his dual role, Alex played a vital part in bridging the gap between education and football, mentoring young players in the classroom while supporting senior goalkeepers on the pitch. He will officially leave his role at Cox Green School on 31st August 2026.

Commenting on the departure, the club's CEO Ashley Smith said:

"I would like to thank Alex for his contribution to the football club, most notably within our Post-16 Academy and his duties as First Team Goalkeeper Coach, which has had a wider positive impact across our junior section and holiday camps. We wish him every success for the future."

Everyone at Slough Town FC extends their sincere gratitude to Alex for his dedication and hard work during his time with the Rebels, and wishes him well for the future.
