Slough Town return to National League South action on Saturday afternoon as they make the short trip to face Hampton & Richmond Borough at Beveree Stadium.

Saturday’s fixture will be Hampton’s first home game of the season, with improvements to Beveree Stadium, including the installation of a new artificial pitch, having delayed their return to their home ground.

The Beavers are still searching for their first points of the campaign, having lost each of their opening three matches. Their latest outing saw them beaten 2-0 away at Horsham on Tuesday evening.

Despite the result, there were positives for Hampton, with winger Sak Hassan impressing in the second half, Rohan Ince hitting the post on his first start of the season and youngster Hayden Barrett catching the eye on his debut.

Slough’s opening fixture against Ebbsfleet United was postponed before a 5-3 defeat at Dover Athletic, despite the Rebels recovering from 3-0 down at half-time to level the scores with three goals in 11 minutes. Late goals from Jack Bates and Rolando Onu settled the contest, before Slough suffered a 1-0 home defeat to Farnham Town on Tuesday, with Cook-Appiah’s superb strike proving decisive.

Saturday’s fixture will see a return to familiar surroundings for Slough manager Alan Julian, who returns to Beveree for the first time since leaving Hampton last season. Assistant Manager Donovan Chislett will also return to his former club.

The two sides played out a pair of entertaining fixtures last season. Slough came away from Beveree with a 3-2 victory, before Hampton gained revenge with a win at Arbour Park in the reverse fixture.
