Slough Town travel to Rugby Town tonight (Tuesday) in the Calor Division One Central playoff semi-final, hoping to progress to the final on Bank Holiday Monday.

This is the fourth time Slough will have competed in the end of season playoffs in the last five seasons. Neil Baker and Jon Underwood's Godalming Town reached the playoffs last season, narrowly losing at home to Biggleswade Town, whilst Slough, then managed by Steve Bateman, finished just outside the playoff positions.

Slough will be hoping to emulate the semi-final success of the 2009/10 Division One Midlands season, when the Rebels travelled to runners-up Hitchin Town and emerged with a 2-1 victory, before losing to Chesham United in the final.

Neil Baker provided the following news:

"We expect to travel with a big squad on Tuesday, and will make one or two decisions on the day depending on travel and fitness tests.
"We will be without Scott Harris (who would not be available now even if fit, as his partner will be in hospital having given birth), and Adam Foulser is a long term absentee, other than that we expect to have Ryan Parsons back available, and although we will make a decision on the day, we may take the risk to play him.
"Dan Sintim will be struggling to get to Rugby in time for kick off, as he is unable to leave Reigate until 5pm due to work and not being able to get out any earlier, however he will be driving himself, and we hope to have him for kick off.
"We expect to take the following players up to Rugby and will pick 16 from these:

Jake Somerville, Sean Fraser, Ryan Parsons, Guy Hollis, Dave Woozley, Dan Sintim, Wes Harrison, Jake Parsons, James Dobson, Warren Harris, Steve Duff, Ben Edwards, Jamie McClurg, Gareth Risbridger, George Short, Eddie Smith, Johnnie Dyer and Adam Cornell.
