Looking Ahead: Hungerford Town
Jon Underwood provides an update, including team news, ahead of tomorrow night's trip to Hungerford Town in the Berks and Bucks Cup.
Following Saturday's game we have a number of issues with injury and illness which will make tomorrow's trip to Hungerford in the B&B Cup an extremely difficult one given that you cannot sign anyone else on within 7 days of a game in this competition.
From Saturday we have lost Adrian Sear (ankle), Ryan Parsons (groin) and Guy Hollis (foot) and in addition both Scott Harris and Johnnie Dyer are carrying knocks from last week and we simply cannot risk making them worse tomorrow so they will not be involved. James Dobson's shoulder injury is not as bad as first feared but both he and Jamie McClurg are both struggling with illness today and we will have to make a call on both of these lads tomorrow.
In addition to this George Short still cannot play due to his head injury, Ben Edwards is away until Sunday and finally Seb Castello further aggravated an ankle injury playing for Badshot Lea last week and is not fit.
On a more positive note Eddie Smith will rejoin the squad for this game having come through 90 minutes on Saturday for Cove (who do not have a game tomorrow) without a problem. Gareth Risbridger has also agreed to help us out as he is signed on and that gives us the following 16 man squad which includes four lads from the youth team who will be on the bench.
Jake Somerville, Sean Fraser, Reece Yorke, Tom Moran, Jake Parsons, Jamie McClurg, Luke Knight, Gareth Risbridger, James Dobson, Adam Cornell, Daryll Thomas, Eddie Smith, Anton Murray, Oscar Betts, Mbarak Bashir, Adam Casey.
We clearly have a very tough week ahead of us and we are just hoping that 1 or 2 will come back in to the reckoning for the game with Redditch at the weekend and we are also working hard to strengthen the squad this week if at all possible.
