It's nearly here...

The British Gas Business Football League kicks off this coming Saturday, and we welcome Burnham to Holloways Park for the opening game of the season.

Burnham of course met the Rebels in manager Derek Sweetman's first game in charge of Slough last season in a match that saw his former club come out victorious in a 3-0 victory.

However, expectations are high, following the several new signings over the summer with John Beames, Ryan Fenton, Eamonn McConigley, Adam Dickens, Matthew Platt and Danny Jordan expected to make their Rebels debuts and Craig Roberts making his second debut for the club.

Burnham have also added to their squad over the summer with the much sought-after Jordan Dowdican comitting his future to the Blues and striker Leon Yarnie expecting to be a handful for the Rebels defence up-front.

Slough should also welcome back a familiar face in goal with former favourite Michael Parkin set to take his place in the Blues' goal. A family battle in midfield will also take place with Slough's Laurence Brown up against Brother Jeff.

Let's try and get the season off and running with a bumper crowd, spread the word about Saturday's match and get behind the Rebels!!

Come on!
