Slough named Southern Premier Team of the Month for October

Slough Town have been named Team of the Month in the Southern League, Premier Division following an excellent October.

The Rebels won five and drew one of their seven league games in October and climbed the table to eighth place after a difficult start to the season. Slough also made progress in the League Cup, beating Chesham United 3-0.

Joint manager Neil Baker commented:

"We have today been informed that we have won the team of the month for the Southern Premier in October.

"Hopefully this will prove not to be a poisoned chalice, however the lads have to take full credit for the turnaround in results, and I think it is well deserved.

"It is an excellent achievement in what is a very tough league with some big sides in it, and we now need to build on it, and push on again in November and December.
