Arbour Vale Update
Rebels Chairman updates supporters on latest developments on the new ground.
Just before Christmas the club received an update from Slough Borough Council outlining their position on our proposals to redeveloping the Arbour Vale School site.
Following this letter, club, supporter trust representatives and advisors have met with officers and planners from the council. These meetings have been very positive and an appropriate ‘way forward’ has been discussed. It has been agreed to minimise the risks of the development and whilst there are many issues that need resolving, the current scheme proposals now includes a mixed residential and stadium development.
The current economic climate has had an impact on the development; however we, together with our advisors are working as quickly as possible to update and revise the current scheme.
Whilst getting to this stage has been very time consuming, I would like to emphasise that the club and council officers are working together to get the proposal back to cabinet as soon as possible.
