John Porter spoke with Neil Baker after today's match at The Camrose, which ended in a 4-1 defeat for the Rebels.
Lewis Putman gave Slough a half-time advantage, but Basingstoke equalised and then took control after the dismissal of Mark Nisbet.
The result means Slough are knocked off the top of the table due to other results, and ends the Rebels' fine run of 12 league games undefeated stretching back to early August.
