Alan Julian

Bio

Alan Julian was appointed Men’s First Team Manager in May 2026, bringing with him a wealth of experience from across the professional and non-league game.

A former goalkeeper, Julian enjoyed an outstanding 22-year playing career, making 664 senior appearances. Known for his consistency, leadership and professionalism, he built a strong reputation at every level of the game.

Julian began his career with Brentford, progressing through the academy to make his first-team debut in 2002. He went on to establish himself at Stevenage Borough, where he was named Player of the Year and played a key role in their historic FA Trophy triumph in 2007 at Wembley Stadium.

He later represented Gillingham, making 80 appearances and helping the club secure promotion to League One, before adding further experience with spells at Newport County, Dartford, Sutton United and Bromley. At Bromley, he was part of the squad that achieved promotion to the National League.

A successful period at Billericay Town followed, where he made over 150 appearances and won promotion to the National League South, before concluding his playing career at Hampton & Richmond Borough. Across his career, Julian also represented Northern Ireland at under-18, under-19 and under-21 level.

Following his retirement in 2024, Julian moved into coaching at Hampton & Richmond Borough and was soon appointed First Team Manager. He guided the club through a challenging National League South campaign, securing their place in the division under difficult circumstances.

Julian now leads Slough Town into a new chapter, bringing strong leadership, a deep understanding of the non-league landscape, and a clear ambition to drive the club forward.
