Saikou Janneh

Bio

Saikou Janneh joined Slough Town in September 2026.

He is a Gambian forward who moved to England as a teenager and began his senior career in Western League football with Cadbury Heath and Clevedon Town.

After scoring eight goals in 12 appearances for Clevedon, Janneh joined Bristol City’s academy in 2018 and spent four years with the Championship club.

His standout spell came on loan at Torquay United during the 2018/19 season, scoring 16 goals in 28 National League South appearances as Torquay won the league title. He finished the campaign with 18 goals in 34 appearances in all competitions.

Janneh also gained Football League experience during loan spells with Newport County and Shrewsbury Town, before joining Cambridge United permanently in 2022. He made 21 appearances for Cambridge and spent part of the 2022/23 season on loan at AFC Wimbledon.

In total, Janneh has made 63 appearances in the English Football League. Following his departure from Cambridge in 2024, he had a short spell with Kuwaiti Division One side Al-Jazeera before returning to England.

A pacy and versatile forward, Janneh can play on either wing or through the centre.
