Killian Barrett

Bio

Killian Barrett is an Irish goalkeeper who joined Slough Town on a one-month loan from National League side Barrow in October 2026.

Barrett began playing football in Ireland with Ballisodare United before progressing through the Sligo Leitrim Emerging Talent set-up and Mayo's League of Ireland academy. He moved to England aged 16 after being offered a place at the iDFA Football and Education academy in Reading.

He gained his first experience in English senior football with Hartley Wintney and Woodley United before joining Binfield. During the 2023/24 season, he made 21 appearances for Binfield and helped the club retain their place in the South Central Division of the Isthmian League, keeping six clean sheets and earning the Supporters' Player of the Season award.

His performances attracted the attention of Sheffield Wednesday, and he joined the Championship club in July 2024. He was named on the first-team bench for an EFL Cup tie against Brentford later that year.

Barrett's senior experience has largely been gained through loan spells in the National League. He made nine appearances for Solihull Moors during the 2024/25 season before joining Rochdale, where he made a further nine National League appearances and featured in the promotion play-offs.

He then spent part of the 2025/26 campaign on loan with Boston United, making three National League appearances, before joining Barrow permanently in January 2026. He made his Barrow debut in League Two during the second half of the 2025/26 season.

Barrett has also represented the Republic of Ireland at Under-21 level, receiving his first international call-up in May 2025.

The goalkeeper brings previous experience of both the National League and League Two to Slough Town and joins the Rebels on a short-term basis to provide cover following Stevie Bausor's injury.
