Bio

Steve McKimm was appointed Slough Town’s Men’s First Team Manager in October 2026, arriving at Arbour Park with extensive experience across the non-league game.

McKimm began his managerial career with Tonbridge Angels in 2014 and spent eight years at the club, guiding them to promotion to the National League South in 2019.

During his time at Tonbridge, he also led the club to the FA Cup First Round in 2021 and the FA Trophy Fifth Round in 2021/22, where they defeated National League opposition Torquay United and King's Lynn Town on their run to the last 16.

He moved to Carshalton Athletic for the 2022/23 season before taking charge of Cray Valley Paper Mills in 2023.

His first season with the Millers proved particularly successful, with Cray Valley winning the Isthmian League South East Division title with 95 points after losing just one league match. The club also enjoyed a memorable FA Cup run, drawing 1-1 away to League One Charlton Athletic before losing the replay.

McKimm led Cray Valley to fourth place in the Isthmian Premier Division in 2024/25 and a place in the play-offs, before departing the club in February 2026.

A former player-manager and player-coach, McKimm enjoyed a lengthy playing career, representing the likes of Margate, Hendon, Dulwich Hamlet, Farnborough Town, Hayes, Kingstonian, Gravesend & Northfleet and Sutton United.

He made almost 170 appearances for Gravesend & Northfleet and also captained Margate.
