Defence On Top

Goals from MacKenzie, Clements and Fussell ease Rebels to victory.

Our defence had a very east afternoon, for Brown, Williams and Thomson completely subdued the opposing forwards and, as usual, dominated the proceedings.

We opened strongly, MacKenzie, Clements and Fussell quickly giving us a three goal lead.

We then became strangely goal shy, although we hit the woodwork four times and despite any amount of clever approach work, we just could not force our advantage home.

McCrohan and Ingram pushed over scores of beautiful centres but our old had habit of crowding prevailed. To crown all things, Jock missed a penalty.
