Hounslow Beat Weakened Slough

Slough visited Hounslow on Saturday afternoon to open the league contest. They were not able to take a full team, and consequently had to put up with the three to one defeat.

Prior at the last moment was unable to get away, and to make matters worse, West received a telegram during the progress of play announcing the demise of his father, so that they had to finish with 10 men.

Everyone will sympathise with the sturdy young defender who did such yeoman service for Slough last season in the sad last he has sustained.
