Late Goals Land The Points

Slough left it late to clinch victory in their Athenian League match at Boreham Wood on Tuesday - the goals being delayed until the 83rd minute and the fifth minute of injury time.

Tottman and O'Sullivan were the scorers. Hill arrived too late and Nathan got his chance, otherwise the team was the same as beat Bedford.

The first half saw Boreham Wood lively and at times dangerous, but the Slough defence for most of the time looked masters of the situation.

Half time arrived with the score sheet blank. After the interval Slough sprang to life and securing control in midfield, they gradually got right on top.

The home team defended strongly but in the 83rd minute good work by Reardon resulted in Tottman scoring and in the fifth minute of the eight minutes extra time played by the referee. Slough were worthy winners with Reardon having one of his best games to date.
