Management team step down

The club can announce today that they have parted company with their manager, Derek Sweetman and his coaching staff.

Given the current situation and recent performances, it was decided that this would be in the best interests of the club.

Derek Sweetman and his staff worked tirelessly in the interests of the club, and whilst results and performances have at times been disappointing, this did not reflect in their enthusiasm and love for the club.

Derek joined us at a difficult time last season and immediately began rebuilding the team and attracting new players. He brought an element of stability to the club when it was most needed and for that the club will always be grateful.

An announcement with regard to a new manager will be made shortly, however Slough Town Football Club would like to thank Derek, Steve and Calvin for all their hard work and commitment and wish them all the best in the future.
