The striker has played for the club already this summer. He started up front with Simon Martin in the Rebels pre-season match with Ashford Town (Mx). looking lively for the 45 minutes he played.

Buchanan’s former clubs include Northwood, Stevenage, AFC Wimbledon (loan) and Concord Rangers.

The 20 year-old broke into the Northwood side in 2006 at the age of 17. In the 2007-08 season Buchanan scored 23 goals in 26 games for the Woods and went onto sign an 18-month contract at Stevenage Borough after being snapped up by former England Under-21 manager Peter Taylor.

Buchanan is expected to be in contention to face Hemel in the FA Cup this Saturday, but the Rebels will be without fellow striker Craig O’Connor for the match. O'Connor limped off with a hamstring injury which is expected to keep him out for a couple of weeks.

Slough Town Football Club also wish to remind supporters that the U18’s start their FA Youth Cup campaign tomorrow at Holloways Park on Tuesday (8th September). The match kicks off at 7.45pm. Your support is needed!
