Smith moves on

Central defender Rory Smith has this week signed for AFC Hayes following a 7-day approach from the Zamaretto South & West league club.

Smith made 20 appearances for the Rebels, making his Slough debut in October last year alongside Ricky Allaway in the Rebels defence in a 3-3 home draw with Truro.

However with manager Steve Bateman able to call on Nathan Bowden-Haase, Graeme Edwards, Steve Jackman, Dean Harper and Ryan Fenton in central defence opportunities have been hard to come by for the former Leyton skipper.

The club wish Rory all the best at his new club.
