Rebels dual register

With competition fierce for places and no reserve team currently in place manager Steve Bateman has allowed several players to dual register or be loaned out to other clubs on a temporary basis.

This move is adopted by a number of other non-league clubs, and allows several of the first-team squad currently not involved to get some much-needed match fitness under their belts. All will no-doubt play an important part in the Rebels long league campaign this season.

Ryan Fenton has been dual-registered with Bedfont in the Combined Counties League. Bedfont are managed by former Chelsea striker Neil Shipperley. Fenton joins up with former Slough striker Enrico Grimm at the Middlesex club.

Jamie Jackson played for Ascot United at the weekend, playing alongside another Rebel – midfielder Grant Avis. Jackson kept a clean-sheet as Ascot were held to a goaless draw with Shrivenham.

Defender Kyle Jeffrey has also signed forms to play with Ascot United, but was required by Slough - appearing as a second-half substitute against Rothwell Town.

All four players can be recalled at any time by Slough Town.
