Rebels snap-up Clark

Slough Town Manager Steve Bateman has tonight strengthened his squad with the signing of former Aylesbury and Aldershot player Dwain Clark.

Clark will certainally add to the competition for places in the Rebels line-up and is a welcome addition to the squad.

Clark started his carrer at Slough in the Rebels successful Youth side while the club were in the Conference before moving onto Harrow Borough. He eventually moved to Aylesbury United, where he arguably had the best spell of his career.

The player who is capable of playing as a left-winger or front-runner scored some important goals for United, as he helped Aylesbury gain promotion from the Ryman Division One North League in the 2001/02 season – scoring against the Rebels in the Ducks 4-0 victory over Slough Town at Buckingham Road that season .

After his spell at Aylesbury, Clark played in the Conference for Aldershot Town, Lewes and Canvey Island where he had successful spells. He also has had spells playing for Maidenhead United and Staines Town.

Last season Clark played in the Ryman Premier division for Tonbridge Angels, but arrives to boost the Slough attacking options.
