The Rebels first competitive fixtures ahead of the new season in the E.ON FA Cup, FA Calsberg Trophy and E.ON FA Youth Cup draws were announced today.
In the preliminary round of the E.ON FA Cup Slough face a trip into the unknown to Sussex to play either Sidley United or Lancing.
Last season both Sidley United and Lancing played in division two of the Sussex County Football League. Sidley finished third last season, winning 22 out of 34 league games, gaining promotion while Lancing finished 11th, winning 11 out of their 34 league games.
Should the Rebels overcome Sidley United or Lancing they will face either Ashford Town (Kent), Erith & Dartford Town or Colliers Wood United in the first round.
Steve Bateman's men have more familiar opposition in the preliminary round of the FA Calsberg Trophy where they face Marlow at home. The Rebels drew with the Blues last season in the home league fixture with Sean Sonner scoring, and won in the away fixture with a solitary goal after an unfortunate own goal from former Rebel Johnny Gray.
The winners of the tie will then face Zamaretto Southern League Premier Division side Chippenham Town.
Slough have also been handed an away tie at Leighton Town in the First Round of the Red Insure League Cup. The match is to be played in the week commencing 25th October.
Meanwhile, in the E.ON FA Youth Cup Tony Thompson's men have a difficult looking fixture at home in the preliminary round where they face Farnborough Town. The winners of that tie will then face Basingstoke at home, setting up a possible repeat of last seasons FA Youth Cup fixture when the Hampshire side beat the Rebels 2 0 at Holloways Park.
*Slough return to action this Saturday with their opening pre-season friendly of the campaign against Penn & Tylers (away) at 3pm. Directions to Penn can be found here
