I can advise that the proposed new ground is moving forwards in a diligent and professional manner. Steve Easterbrook Good afternoon and a warm welcome back to the start of the 2010/11 season. Before talking about the season ahead I would just like to say that (apart from the last 90 minutes!) I thoroughly enjoyed last season. The final league game away to Romulus, for me, under the circumstances, was probably the best display I have seen from any team in a long while. Credit must be given to Steve Bateman, his management team and the players. Each time we needed to respond that's exactly what the team did! Let's just hope this year we can go one step further.

Unfortunately we have lost some players and to those the club extends its best wishes. One player who may also be moving on is Mo Sharif, who is currently on trial at Queens Park Rangers. Mo has been an integral part of Slough Town FC's successful youth team which is managed by Tony Thompson and he became a regular in the first team towards the end of last season. This is a marvellous opportunity for Mo and the club are delighted that he has been selected.

This season sees us move from the Midlands Division to the newly created Zamaretto Central Division. This will (thankfully) see us with less distances to travel away and a few more 'local' matches which should make for some entertaining games.

This season we are aiming to increase our attendances and some of you may have seen our 'Target 400' campaign for today's game. Many clubs at our level are struggling to increase/maintain their attendances so this season we will be specifically targeting some home games for promotion. If you have any ideas or can help with the promotions please let us know. Posters for home games are available from the official website to download (or from Glen Riley), so please download one and get it displayed at your local newsagent, pub, supermarket or petrol station.

Additionally, the club are always seeking ways in which to raise additional funds so again if feel you can help in anyway please let either myself or any other member of the committee know. The club would like to thank everyone (individuals and corporate) who have financially contributed and supported the club over the past year. I know I keep mentioning it, but if you are not a member of The 500 Club, please join! Monthly prizes given away are now nearly £300!

I can report that again we achieved a good response to season tickets and good luck to everyone in today's £1,000 draw!

There are a number of people to thank for various jobs completed during close season. Many supporters have spent weekends at Holloways Park cutting, painting, watering, etc. On behalf of the club and Beaconsfield SYCOB FC, thank you to everyone who turned up to help, it is certainly appreciated. The club is also grateful to have a Supporters Trust that works with the club and who play an important role in helping to run the club. We also have many volunteers, without whom the club would not function, thank you all!

Steve Bateman and his management team have been busy during the summer putting together a team for this season's campaign. The club would like to thank Darren Salton, who has moved on, for his hard work last season and we welcome the experienced Dave Anderson to the management team. Welcome back also to Roy Gumbs who has joined the coaching staff.

Pre season has been going well and last Saturday saw The Rebels win their first silverware (The Brian Collins Challenge Shield) for quite some time in a hard fought friendly against Ryman Premier League side, Wealdstone.

In their first season in the Allied Counties Premier Division the Under 18's finished a creditable third and Tony has again been working hard putting together a new squad ready to compete again at the highest level within this league. If you get a chance please try and get to one of the home games which are played here, at Holloways Park.

I can advise that the proposed new ground is moving forwards in a diligent and professional manner. Initial feasibility surveys which includes tree, traffic and topographical surveys are currently being undertaken and should be completed shortly. Planning consultants are preparing reports for further discussion and I would hope to be in position to provide another update later this month. There are still obstacles to overcome and important landmarks to reach, but we are progressing.

Finally, I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of the club to thank you for your continued support.

Have a great afternoon and enjoy the season.
