Rebels move into pre-season
Steve Bateman provides a second pre-season update.
All three have been model professionals during their time with us and I wish them every success at their new clubs and thank them for their contributions during their time in a Slough Town shirt. Steve Bateman As the start of pre-season approaches, I thought I would update you with latest player activity ahead of our first session at the Polish Club this weekend.
After a number of conversations, I can confirm that Steve Sinclair has committed himself to the club for the coming season which is excellent news and is despite a number of offers from a higher level. Steve believes he can realise his ambitions to return to a higher level with us here at Slough Town FC.
Moving on are Ben Porter, in search of regular football - something he felt would be limited given the group of players we have available to us - and following a similar vein, Simon Martin who has accepted an offer to play in the Premier with my old club Hemel Hempstead. Simon's opportunities with us last season were limited due to the emergence and success of the Sean Sonner and Danny Burnell partnership.
You will already have read that Rob Bullivant has become the first signing of Windsor FC and he goes with my blessing as he looks to fully recover from the knee injury sustained with Windsor & Eton FC. By his own admission we never really got to see the best of Rob and he is working hard to restore himself back to his best.

Chris Seeby has hung his boots up for now as he embarks on a new life in Dubai but I hope to see him back in a Slough shirt at some point.
I am expecting at least three new players to take part in pre-season in addition to those already mentioned in my earlier update with more news to follow once we are underway this weekend. It will be good to work with the vast majority of last season's squad again and with the additions I have in mind, I am sure we can look forward to another successful season and build upon the last two seasons.
