It is with mixed emotions that I confirm the departure of Dave Anderson, who has accepted the role as First Team Manager at Harrow Borough in the Ryman Premier League.

Dave alerted me to the possibility of leaving to take this role, if offered it, late last week - and not surprisingly to me, he has emerged as the successful candidate following a short round of interviews.

I have to say that I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Dave during his time here last season, and I'm disappointed to lose him - but it was always a possibility if the right opportunity for him came along. Dave has been 100% supportive of me and we have worked very well together and, whilst we continued to work hard, we never lost our sense of fun and enjoyment during our time together at Slough. I have certainly learnt a number of things from working with Dave, and I'm sure he will feel the same, and we will no doubt remain in frequent touch just as we did prior to him joining us.

So, my sincere thanks and best wishes go to Dave, and I wish him every success at Harrow - a club well known to me having played over 300 games for them in the mid to late eighties, when I first met Dave in his role as Reserve Team Manager there at the start of his managerial career.

I have no doubt that Dave will continue to move Harrow forward and build upon their successes of last season, and very quickly stamp his own authority on the club.

I have already started the process to replace Dave, and I will update you all once I have some further information to share.
