I have a 25-year association with Harrow Borough... I felt this was just too good to turn down. I know this has all happened quickly, but as you know, that is often the case in football. Dave Anderson I wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone at the club for all the support shown to both myself and the team during my time with you.

I leave with mixed emotions. Slough Town is a club I bonded with very quickly, from the Chairman (with whom the club is in very safe hands) to Steve (Bateman) with whom I had a great working relationship. I felt we complemented each other well and I always felt he took my opinions on board before making his decisions. We had loads of laughs between ourselves when one or the other was right, he was a pleasure to work with and I honestly believe he will take the club to the next level this season (no pressure mate!)

The squad of players were just top class to both work and socialise with. Of course we had heated moments during the course of the season, but that's because we all care about what we do.

As for the supporters, well you really are different class! I will never forget coming off after a home defeat during our bad spell, scared to look up, but then being stunned that you were clapping us off!! Unbelievable!

On the other hand, I have a 25-year association with Harrow Borough. Managing the reserves was my first job in non league. It's where I first met Steve, when he had a full head of hair! So I felt this was just too good to turn down. I know this has all happened quickly, but as you know, that is often the case in football.

My parting request is that, even if you are not happy with my decision, I hope you understand why I made it. Thanks again for everything, yours will be the first result I look for after my own game.
