Under 18s Trophy Presentation
Slough Town's U18s receive their ACYFL Premier Division trophy
Earlier in the month, Slough Town's youth team finally got its hands on the Allied Counties Youth Football League trophy – and celebrated with a small get together at midfielder Ruben Diaz's father's café in Slough!
The trophy was presented to manager Tony Thompson and the team by The Slough Town Supporters Trust Chairman, Mike Lightfoot.
Each player also received individual trophies in honour of their fine achievement for Slough Town FC.
Congratulations go to Tony and his team, and the back room staff of Terry Porteus, Chris Sliski, Barbara Stewart, Simon Goddard, and of course all the parents of the players who provided transport for the team during the season!
The receipt of the ACYFL trophy came after the exciting news that the club has joined up with former manager Mark Betts and his successful youth team set up, which will involve ten teams from U10 to U16 coming under the Slough Town FC banner this coming season.
We are of course looking forward to officially welcoming these teams as part of the club. This is another major step forward as we continue our path back to the borough of Slough, and we wish them all luck for the forthcoming season and hope that Tony can build on last season's success.
