AFC Hayes preview
Rebels travel to Farm Park in search of a priceless three points.
Slough Town travel the short distance to AFC Hayes tomorrow (Saturday) hoping to pick up a much-needed win and make up for the 3-0 home defeat earlier in February.
The hosts would probably win the award for most inconsistent team in the league, with the table showing that of 36 league games played, only 2 have been drawn. AFC Hayes typically only win (16 times this season) or lose (18).
High-scoring matches have been the norm for AFC Hayes this season, with the team having scored 70 goals thus far - thanks mainly to the deadly striker duo of Dean Clark and the league's top scorer Danny Jordan, who has 22 League and League Cup goals to his name. However they have conceded a whopping 85 goals, which is worse than Slough's record and is fewer than only Newport IOW and Andover.
The Middlesex side have recorded 7-0 and 4-0 wins (over Bracknell and Taunton respectively) and defeats by the score of 2-7 (Farnborough), 1-6 (Uxbridge) and 0-6 (Didcot), all at home. Rebels fans will be hoping they have another off-day on Saturday after the disappointing derby results over Easter.
Slough Town have no major injury worries ahead of the game, with boss Derek Sweetman looking to bring in new faces in the near future to bolster the squad for the fight against relegation.
Elsewhere, Bracknell Town travel to an in-form Abingdon United. Newport IOW's relegation will be confirmed if they lose their home match with Burnham.
*There is a supporters coach running to this match. It departs Wexham Park Stadium at 1.30pm, costing £7 for adults and £6 seniors & juniors.
