Slough Town Football Club is delighted to confirm the signing of midfielder Chris Regis ahead of the 2026/27 National League South campaign.
The 29-year-old has impressed during a trial period with the Rebels during pre-season, featuring in recent matches, and has now put pen to paper to become the latest addition to Alan Julian’s squad.
Regis, who stands at 6’3”, brings a physical presence to the midfield and arrives with considerable experience of both the National League South and the wider non-League game.
His career has also included a spell in the EFL with Port Vale, where he made his professional debut in an EFL Trophy victory over Crewe Alexandra in November 2017, scoring just four minutes into the match.
Born in Camden, London, Regis began his youth career with Arsenal before spending two years with Southampton. He subsequently joined Colchester United, where he spent time on the first-team books and gained senior experience on loan with Maldon & Tiptree.
Since returning to non-League football, Regis has represented a number of clubs, including Torquay United, Wealdstone, Braintree Town, Folkestone Invicta, Aveley and Hanwell Town. He featured 41 times for Hanwell during the 2024/25 season before joining Brantham Athletic, where he played 11 times last season.
Regis has also represented England at under-17 level, winning four caps and scoring once during a tournament in the Faroe Islands in 2012.
Speaking in his latest interview, Slough Town manager Alan Julian explained what Regis will bring to his squad.
“He’s done ever so well. I really like his attitude. I like the way he plays.
“He brings a physical presence to the team and he gives us something slightly different in the middle of the pitch.
“So I’m really pleased to have Chris on board and it’s another strong addition to our midfield.
“Obviously with Dan [Roth] being out injured, it just gives us a little bit more depth there."
Regis will wear squad number 26 at Slough Town.
