Cup draws released
Draws for the early rounds of the FA Cup competitions were released today, and have handed Slough two away ties.

Slough have been handed two tricky-looking away ties in the FA Cup and FA Trophy.
FA Cup Preliminary Round 30/8/08 - Abingdon United v Slough Town
The winners will face Southern Premier side Farnborough away on the 13th September in the First Qualifying Round.
FA Trophy First Round Qualifying 18/10/08 - Paulton Rovers or Thatcham Town v Slough Town
Manager Derek Sweetman had this to say:
"Could have been better or could have been worse. Both draws will be tough especially as they are away.
"Abingdon always start the season well and their brand of football will suit the pitch at that stage of the season.
"Paulton are one of the better teams in the division and have some excellent players in the Cleverly brothers to name but a few and are always difficult to beat on home soil.
"Thatcham have a good manager in Gary Ackling and have signed some useful players. They will be organised and will work extremely hard.
"I think both games will be close but I'm sure we will give a good account of ourselves."
