Arbor Vale Update
Rebels Chairman Steve Easterbook provides supporters with an update on the latest developments at Arbor Vale.
Following further meetings with council officers some progress has been made, however there are still some issues that need to be resolved.
To help achieve our aims we are speaking with Sports Solutions GB (SSGB) to assist us with the current proposal.
SSGB are based in Swindon and are a specialist sports development consultancy that advises sports clubs, developers, schools and local authorities on relocation and redevelopment. They also work in partnership with the Football Association and the Football Foundation on club development.
SSGB have been involved with the successful relocation of Cirencester Town FC which created Britain’s first fully recognised community football club. In addition SSGB have recently helped to secure planning permission for Thame Football Club.
The club and Jayne Bradbury, who has been working with the club, see this as a very positive move and the club is confident that with SSGBs involvement and expertise we can address and overcome the remaining issues and we can move forwards to securing Slough Town FC’s future in Slough.
