Pat Hayes joins Slough Town as Non-Executive Director
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Pat Hayes as a Non-Executive Director.
Slough Town Football Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Pat Hayes as a Non-Executive Director, bringing many years of development and planning experience, alongside an in-depth knowledge of the local borough and its council.
Pat will play an advisory role in supporting the Club's ambitions to develop the Tamblyn Fields Community Sports Hub and continue the improvement and upgrade of facilities at Arbour Park.
His experience and understanding of the local area will make him an important asset as the Club works to deliver its future facilities plans and strengthen its position within the community.
Supporting the Club's future development
Pat has spent the past four years at Slough Borough Council, most recently serving as Executive Director – Regeneration, Environment and Planning.
During his career, he has held a number of senior positions across local government and regeneration, including Managing Director of Be First, the regeneration arm of Barking and Dagenham Council, and senior regeneration and housing roles at Ealing Council. He also previously worked for Transport for London as Director of Borough Partnerships.
His knowledge of the borough, experience of working with local authorities and understanding of the importance of sport and community facilities will be particularly valuable as Slough Town progresses its plans for Tamblyn Fields and continues to invest in Arbour Park.
Club CEO Ashley Smith welcomed Pat's appointment:
"We are delighted Pat has joined us. He has a wealth of knowledge of the local community and exceptional experience with the local authority from his time, most recently with Slough Borough Council, as Executive Director for Regeneration.
"The icing on the cake is that Pat is a great guy, has a love for sport, and understands the impact it can have on the community on so many levels.
"I personally look forward to continuing to work with Pat and having him on our team."
Pat is equally enthusiastic about joining the Club and supporting its ambitions:
"I am really thrilled to be joining the Club in an advisory capacity. Slough Town is a key part of the borough's cultural and sporting life, and the plans for the development of Tamblyn Fields are an important part of revitalising the town.
"The Club is at a really exciting point in its evolution, with significant new investment coming in. I am looking forward to working with Ashley and the A23 Group to build long-term financial and sporting sustainability for the Club.
"I hope to bring my experience to bear in helping Slough Town realise its full potential."
Pat's appointment comes at an exciting time for Slough Town as the Club looks to build on its foundations, invest in its facilities and create a sustainable future both on and off the pitch.
Everyone at the Club warmly welcomes Pat and looks forward to working with him.
