Josh Brooking

Bio

Josh Brooking joined Slough Town ahead of the 2026/27 season from National League side Aldershot Town.

A central defender who combines athleticism with composure in possession, Brooking developed through the academy systems of Reading and Chelsea before progressing into senior football.

After joining Chelsea at the age of 16, he spent five years with the club and captained their Under-23 side. During his time in West London, he represented England at Under-16 and Under-17 level and gained experience around the first-team environment.

Brooking moved into senior football with Dorking Wanderers and made 17 National League South appearances during the 2024/25 season before earning a move to Aldershot Town.

An injury suffered during pre-season unfortunately ruled him out for the whole of the 2025/26 campaign, but he arrives at Arbour Park determined to make up for lost time.

A quick, powerful and technically accomplished defender, Brooking adds quality, leadership and experience from elite academy football to the Rebels squad.
