Slough Town braved the fog and gloom of the Whitehouse Ground at Oxford on Wednesday evening and took their unbeaten sequence to 14 games with a 3-1 victory over Oxford City in the Premier Mid-week Floodlight League. Just as the Rebels are making all the running in the Athenian League so are they leaving their rivals behind in this competition and a grand double is certainly very much on the cards.

Oxford are apparently still suffering from their marathon F.A. Cup battle with Alvechurch but there was no denying the Rebels superiority.

Wolstenholme's car broke down on the way to Oxford and Dave Yerby took over in goal for the first half. Laurie Churchill also turned out. Amos, Ritchie and Day were absentees.

Slough got off to a good start Cruse putting them in front in the first five minutes but Mitchell equalised for City in the 11th minute. Hill restored Slough's advantage with a well taken goal in the 25th minute. The second half saw Slough assume complete control but they only scored once more through Cruse in the 62nd minute.
