About Michael
Young keeper who was snapped up by the club onto a two year contract following his release from Torquay United.
Took some time to settle in his first season at the club and had to spend time as backup to Jake Whincup and Shaun Allaway. Displaced high profile Allaway in March that year and had a fine run in to the season including a superb performance in the Ryman League Cup final win against Hampton & Richmond. The following season saw a crisis of confidence for the keeper who was playing behind a forever changing backline. Showed glimpses of his previous best which had seen him displace Allaway, but could not consistently reproduce it.
Returned to Hitchin following leaving the club at the end of the 2005/6 season and has since featured for Bracknell Town and Burnham.
