Slough Town U18 1-1 Maidenhead United U18
Slough Town FC Under 18s took on Maidenhead United (Allied Counties South Division) last night at The Polish Club in a final friendly before the start of their league campaign.
Both teams started brightly with the Rebels' young keeper Joe Sheard making an important save in the opening seconds.
Slough Town took the lead in the 15th minute with a goal from Cameron Wilcox. Maidenhead United equalised in the 28th minute with a well taken headed goal from Lee Barney.
Slough made a couple of changes at half time including Alex Tuttle in goal and Stanley Mugisha up front. On the hour mark another four Slough players were substituted to freshen things up.
Maidenhead United were reduced to ten men after a bad tackle on a Slough player which left the Referee asking for him to be substituted - and the Maidenhead manager took him off.
Overall it was a positive display by the young Rebels who played some great football and created a lot of chances but were unlucky not to finish all of them.
